All L'IDÉE WOMAN garments are handcrafted in Indonesia, with the utmost care and attention to detail. Due to the handcrafted nature of our pieces, and the varying cuts and seasonality of our fabrics, slight variations may occur between garments and the images shown on our website.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Our Signature, Shimmer, Glitter and Gloss fabrications can be gently machine washed. Place your garment in a delicates bag, wash on a gentle cycle at a temperature below 30°C, use a mild detergent and do not use detergents containing bleach. Do not wring, twist or tumble dry. To dry, gently reshape the garment and lay it flat the garment flat in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
Our Sequin and Moonlight fabrications must be professionally dry cleaned. Please do not machine wash or hand wash these garments.
STORING YOUR PLEATS
To preserve the beauty and shape of your pleats, we recommend storing your garment hanging in your wardrobe where it can shine. Please do not leave folded or compressed underneath other garments.
One of the unique qualities of L’IDÉE WOMAN is that our garments require little to no ironing or steaming. They are designed to travel beautifully – simply pack your garment in your suitcase, remove it at your destination and it is ready to wear.
PRECAUTIONS
Pleating is an age-old artform in which fabric is manipulated using high temperatures to create intricate and sculptural designs. As a result of this delicate process, you may notice minor abrasions, marks or subtle irregularities across the surface of your garment.
These characteristics are not considered flaws. They are a natural part of the pleating process and reflect the handcrafted nature and individuality of each piece.
HEAT & PLEAT CARE
Pleated fabric is particularly sensitive to heat and should be kept away from high temperatures at all times. Exposure to heat may cause pleats to relax, and once this occurs, the original pleating cannot be restored.
If your garment becomes slightly wrinkled through wear, lightly mist the affected area with water and gently reshape the pleats back into their original form. Allow the garment to dry naturally, following the care instructions above.
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
To preserve the beauty, shape and finish of your garment:
-
Store away from direct sunlight to help protect the colour and integrity of the fabric.
-
Take care when wearing jewellery, handbags and other accessories, as they may catch or snag the fabric.
-
Avoid contact with textured or abrasive surfaces, which may damage the fabric or its original finish.
- Avoid wearing the garment whilst wet as it may stretch the garment.
- Take extra care when sitting on or handling rough surfaces, particularly when wearing delicate fabrications.
- Keep your garment away from sharp objects and anything that may catch or pull the fabric.
