Lidee Woman Care Guide: How to Care for Your Garments

CARE GUIDE.

THE ART OF PLEATING.

Manipulating fabric into beautiful folds - an age old art that is highly functional and translates perfectly on the female form.

The pleating process brings garments to life, the result is romantic and alluring - the way the garments catch the light, the movement and functionality. Truly cherishing the silhouette of a woman.

All L'IDÉE WOMAN products are handcrafted in Indonesia and we take the utmost care to ensure all items are in perfect condition. Items can sometimes differ slightly from the images presented on the website due to varying fabric cuts and seasonality of the materials. Please note that general stretch on each fabrication differs from style to style - some will have less stretch than others. The images used on the website are taken to best showcase the items as accurately as possible. The colours may differ slightly between computer monitors.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS.

Our garments should only be washed at a temperature below 30 degrees Celsius. They can be washed in either a delicates laundry bag & machine-washed on a gentle short cycle or hand washed gently. To dry, the garments should be laid flat to dry and away from direct sunlight in a well ventilated area.

PRECAUTIONS.

The finish of the fabric is not designed to withstand heat and so it should be avoided at all costs. Please note that reprocessing pleats after they have relaxed due to being exposed to heat is not possible so they must be handled with utmost care.

  • Do not dry clean
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not iron or steam press
  • Do not wash on a warm cycle or in hot water
  • Do not use detergents that contain bleach
  • Avoid wearing garment when wet as it will stretch the pleats
  • Be cautious with accessories that can potentially snag or damage the garment

STORING YOUR PLEATS.

To store your garment we recommend rolling up the garments along the lines of the pleats and then placing in the garment bag received with your order.

We suggest not leaving it hanging for a prolonged period of time as this could affect the way the pleating falls in the long term. Please try to store your garment somewhere without moisture or humidity and avoid stretching the garment as the pleating is delicate.

The beauty of our product is it does not require ironing or steaming, pop it in your suitcase or weekend bag for your destination event, pull it out and it’s ready to wear! What a dream.

LOVING YOUR PLEATS.

Occasionally you may find teeny tiny marks in-between the pleats, pressed onto the garments, or small laser lines, this is a result of how the pleating is created .

Please note that these are not flaws and occur naturally as part of the pleating process - pleating is an art, and art is not always perfect.. which is why we love it.

Please note that re-pleating is not an easily accessible service, this is why it is crucial to follow our care instructions. If you experience your garment becoming wrinkled with wear, apply a little moisture by spraying with water & then restore the affected parts to their original form, then allow to dry per our care instructions.
